REGIMENTAL NUMBERS

The general authoritative listing of CEF units and Regimental Numbers has bee the text "A Call to Arms" by David Love.  For those that do not have the text and just want a listing of the numbers for all units, these are available on the Library and Archives Canada site of ArchiviaNet.

Unfortunately, the list at the LAC site is individual JPEG images of the 47 pages of the original text.  You can see the list here:

To alleviate this work, the Matrix Utilities now contains a single PDF file that has all 47 pages.  This is a handy list to go along with the SUMMARY TABLES, particularly for those units not yet listed, or to cross check which is on the table.  To download the PDF listing please click on this link:

Mar Leroux has also advised me that there is a Regimental Number Search Function on the Canadian Great War Project web site.  Marc's site contains an explanation as to why the numbers may not be what you expect! To access that information, check this link:
