Nominal Roll Collections
The Canadian Expeditionary Force Study Group
(CEFSG) is honoured to have become the beneficiary of a significant
number of Nominal Rolls of the Canadian Expeditionary Force. As of
this date, we have a near complete collection of the Nominal Rolls of
the Infantry Battalions, as well as a number of other Army Corps and
Corps Troops units.
The Graham Stewart
Collection:
This CEFSG project was initiated with the
submission of a partial collection by Graham Stewart of the
Great War Forum. These rolls were made available to all Great War
Researchers by posting them on the Internet Archive site (http://www.archive.org)
in a standard format. Each available nominal roll is listed in the
table, with a hyperlink to the existing file. In addition to the rolls
initially submitted by Graham Stewart, you will now see many other
rolls provided by other CEFSG members. Each contributor or identified
in the table on the index page.
The Bob Richardson
Collection:
In December 2008 the nominal roll resource was
significantly increased with the addition of the collection of CEFSG
Member Bob Richardson. To date, this collection consists of 377
individual Nominal Rolls. With this vast amount of information, the
task to upload all of these to the Internet Archive would have been
daunting. Although this may still happen, the files have also
been loaded to a MediaFire account so they are immediately available
to researchers world wide.
If any Great War Researchers have additional
nominal rolls, or better quality versions of the rolls, we would be
most appreciative if you could provide a copy for this project.
What have been made available to date are "best available
copies" and some of these have columns or rows that are less
than perfect.
Our sincere thanks to Graham, Bob and the many
other members who have now made these files for everyone to share!
