1915 ORBAT

1916 ORBAT

1917 ORBAT

1918 ORBAT

ORBAT Period:

1916

NOTES

  1. The 3 Canadian Divisions operating as part of the 2nd British Army (Brown & Gimblett, page 40)

  2. For 3rd Canadian Division see Nicholson page 133, 134

    RCR = Royal Canadian Regiment

    PPCLI= Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry

  3. For 4th Canadian Division see Nicholson page 133, 134

  4. March 1916 saw the introduction of the Trench Mortar Batteries (T.M.) into the Divisional Structure. There was a Heavy Battery (W or V) and normally three Medium Batteries (X, Y, Z).  The number identified the Division (X.1C, Y.3C, etc.) and the C I presume identified it as Canadian.  The Z T.M. Batteries were broken up into the X and Y batteries in 1918.
