CEFSG member Mark Hopkins has prepared a summary report on the 203rd Battalion (post link):

The battalion was recruited in Toronto, Ontario with mobilization authorized February 4, 1916 under the authority of PCO 2067/2068 dated August 6, 1914 and published in G.O. 69 dated July 15th, 1916. The 201st Battalion was mobilized at Toronto, Military District No.2, under the command of Lt. Col. E.W. Hagarty and issued number block 228001-231000.

However, the battalions’ inability to raise sufficient recruits resulted in the battalion being disbanded in Canada and the personnel being transferred into the 170th and 198th Infantry Battalions. The 201st Battalion was disbanded by Privy Council Order 1727dated July 12, 1918 and published in G.O 98 dated August 1, 1918. The 201st was not perpetuated.
